A sudden, merciless cloudburst tore through Uttarakhand’s serene hills, turning the gentle Ganga and Yamuna into walls of roaring water. In mere moments, rivers that once gave life became rivers that took it away.
Entire villages have vanished. Homes are splintered into debris. Shops lie in ruins. And the air is heavy — not just with the weight of destruction, but with the silent cries of those still unaccounted for.
Five lives have already been confirmed lost.
More than a hundred souls remain missing — children calling out for parents, mothers searching for their sons, families holding onto hope in the face of despair.
The Faces Behind the Headlines
It’s not just statistics. It’s the shopkeeper whose little tea stall once welcomed travellers with warmth, now sleeping under a torn sheet of plastic. It’s the woman who stepped out for minutes and returned to find her home — and her children — swallowed by the flood.
Small restaurants, dhabas, and family-run shops are gone. Lifetimes of hard work washed away in the relentless current. People who once gave to their community now have nothing but the clothes they wear.
This Is Not Just Uttarakhand’s Tragedy
This is a human tragedy. And when humanity suffers, our response must be as swift and strong as the disaster itself.

Our Response in Action
From the moment the disaster struck, our team has been on the ground — moving through knee-deep mud, unstable roads, and relentless rain to reach those in need. We are delivering freshly cooked warm meals to keep hunger at bay, first-aid and critical medical support for the injured, and dry clothing and blankets to shield people from the biting cold.
But our work goes beyond physical needs. Trained volunteers are offering emotional support to families who have lost everything — listening to their stories, helping them locate missing loved ones, and ensuring no one feels abandoned in this crisis.

Our team is on the ground, navigating the mud, debris, and heartbreak. We are:
Distributing warm meals to the hungry
Delivering emergency medical care to the injured
Helping survivors find shelter and emotional support
But the destruction is massive, and the resources we have are not enough. Every extra hour without aid means another family goes hungry, another wound goes untreated, another missing person goes unfound.
